Western Refining operates two refineries — one located in the far west Texas city of
El Paso and the other near Gallup in the Four Corners region of northwest New Mexico —
which have a combined total throughput capacity of 151,000 barrels per day and are staffed
by over 500 highly skilled personnel. At these refineries, every barrel is refined with
special concern for the safety of our employees and the quality of the air, water, and
land in the communities where we live and work. Through pipelines, on trucks and on trains,
the gasoline, jet fuel, diesel, propane, asphalt, and other products we produce are
distributed throughout the Southwestern and Mid Atlantic states to help fuel the lives
of millions of people.
In addition to these refineries, our refining group also operates a crude oil gathering
pipeline system in the Four Corners region of New Mexico, a pipeline that runs from Southeast
New Mexico to the Four Corners region and south from Lynch, New Mexico to Jal, New Mexico,
and an asphalt business that includes an asphalt plant in El Paso and four asphalt terminals
in El Paso, Phoenix, Arizona; Tucson, Arizona; and Albuquerque, New Mexico. We also operate
three stand-alone refined product distribution terminals in Albuquerque; Yorktown, Virginia;
and Bloomfield, New Mexico.
